Hervey Bay to showcase Australia's future homes  - 23/07/2008

The prestigious OceanBlue estate in Hervey Bay has been chosen by the Queensland Master Builders Association (QMBA) as the preferred site for Queensland’s newest and most innovative Display Village.

A first of its kind on the Fraser Coast, the village has been tagged the “Display Village of the Future.”

Up to ten leading Master Builders will construct some of Australia’s most innovative and environmentally sustainable homes in keeping with the integrity of the OceanBlue estate.

Lots will be allocated to builders tomorrow at the official land lot draw at Oceanblue, Hervey Bay.

OceanBlue joint developers, Seymour Group and Watpac Property, welcomed QMBA’s decision to build their newest Display Village on the Fraser Coast.

“This is a coup for Hervey Bay and a great testament to the superior location and quality of the OceanBlue estate,” said Mr Kevin Seymour, Chairman of both Seymour Group and Watpac Limited.

“The standard and quality of the homes to be built within the Display Village will only reinforce the prestige of this unique, near ocean side estate,” he said.

The QMBA expects to have the new Display Village completed by early 2009.

OceanBlue, a 174 lot residential project one street back from the beach and within close proximity to the Hervey Bay CBD, is one of the very last opportunities to purchase near ocean side land in the heart of Hervey Bay.
